Bangladesh’s Met Office said Sunday that both daytime and nighttime temperatures are expected to remain nearly unchanged nationwide over the next five days, with persistent fog keeping the current wintry feel intact in many areas.
In a 120-hour outlook issued at 9 a.m., forecasters said weather will stay dry under partly cloudy skies, but moderate to dense fog is likely from midnight until morning in places—and may persist locally into the afternoon. The agency cautioned that reduced visibility could temporarily disrupt flights, inland waterway services, and road traffic.
As of 6 a.m., the lowest temperature was 9.8°C at Nikli in Kishoreganj—qualifying as a mild cold wave—while the day’s highest was 28.6°C at Teknaf. Authorities advised travelers and operators to plan for fog-related delays and to exercise extra caution during early morning hours.
