National Citizen Party (NCP) spokesperson Asif Mahmud Sajib Bhuiyan is set to leave the country on Sunday night for South Korea, where he will take part in the World Human Rights Cities Forum 2026 in Gwangju.

According to a post from his verified page, Asif Mahmud will join a number of sessions during the visit focusing on international human rights, civil rights, and democratic participation.

During his stay, he is also expected to meet members of the Bangladeshi diaspora in South Korea to discuss their concerns, opportunities, and the broader role of expatriate Bangladeshis.

In addition, he will participate in several organizational meetings, representative discussions, and community outreach programs organized by the South Korea chapter of the NCP Diaspora Alliance.

He is scheduled to return to Bangladesh on the night of May 19.
