The opening of “Symposia”, an international art exhibition jointly organized by HerNet Fine Arts, marked a significant milestone in Dhaka’s cultural calendar today. The exhibition, which will remain open to visitors until September 26 from 10 AM to 10 PM daily, was inaugurated in the presence of an ensemble of distinguished diplomats, cultural leaders, and patrons of the arts.
The inaugural evening saw participation from ambassadors, high commissioners, representatives of international organizations, business leaders, academics, media professionals, and artists from across Bangladesh. Their presence underscored the growing recognition of Dhaka as a hub for artistic and cultural dialogue.
More than just an exhibition, Symposia is a cultural dialogue—bringing together voices, colors, and ideas from different corners of the world. It reflects how art can go beyond aesthetic beauty to inspire connection, empathy, and understanding across societies. By hosting this exhibition, Dhaka positions itself not only as a center of South Asian art but also as a meeting ground for global creativity.
At the heart of this initiative is HerNet Fine Arts, the cultural arm of the HerNet Foundation, which has been working for over six years to empower communities and foster dialogue on a global scale. With a year of high-level involvement in artistic collaborations, HerNet Fine Arts has emerged as a key player in promoting art as a tool of cultural diplomacy.
Their mission is clear: to create platforms where artists can showcase their work, where societies can exchange ideas, and where creativity becomes a bridge for peace and harmony. By collaborating with institutions like the International Recreation Club, HerNet Fine Arts is actively building avenues that connect Bangladesh’s artistic heritage with the global stage.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by members of Dhaka’s vibrant diplomatic corps, cultural organizations, business community, and civil society leaders. Their engagement with the exhibition reflects a shared commitment to cultural enrichment and to supporting platforms that elevate Bangladesh’s image internationally.
As the event continues over the coming days, Symposia is expected to attract art lovers, students, and international guests, offering them an immersive journey into the richness of artistic narratives. The exhibition stands as a reminder that art is not only the soul of society but also its most powerful language of unity.
