Dhaka, 26 July 2025 — After a week of cultural brilliance, artistic exchange, and powerful storytelling through visuals, the landmark exhibition “Origins of Vision” concluded with a grand Gala Closing Ceremony at the Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh.

Hosted by the Honorable Ambassador of Japan, the evening was a culmination of a unique collaboration between HerNet Fine Arts and the Embassy of Japan, marking a new era of cultural diplomacy and artistic engagement between the two nations.

The ceremony welcomed an esteemed gathering of top-tier guests, senior artists, diplomats, cultural leaders, and representatives from across the art and development sectors, all of whom have followed the exhibition’s journey since its inauguration on July 18.

In her powerful closing remarks, Alisha Pradhan, Curator of the Exhibition and Founder & Secretary General of HerNet Foundation, reflected on the success of the past week. She spoke of the transformative power of art, the urgent need for cultural leadership, and HerNet Fine Arts’ mission to globally represent Bangladeshi art with dignity and innovation. “We are not waiting for support—we are creating our own space and inviting meaningful collaborations to shape the future of Bangladeshi art on the world stage,” she declared.

Monir Prodhan, Chairman of HerNet Foundation, also addressed the audience with an impassioned speech on the long-term vision of HerNet’s cultural initiatives. He emphasized that HerNet’s efforts—from founding Bangladesh’s first Digital Art Data Center to launching a privileged card for artists—are steps towards building a sustainable, internationally connected cultural infrastructure. “We have done our part. Now we invite the world to walk with us,” he stated.

The ceremony was further elevated by the presence of a distinguished lineup of special guests, including Ahmed Shamsuddoha, Farida Zaman, all of whom have long supported the development of the arts in Bangladesh. Their reflections echoed the collective sentiment that Origins of Vision was not just an exhibition, but a cultural milestone.

One of the evening’s key highlights was the official unveiling and distribution of the Coffee Table Book, published by HerNet Fine Arts. The publication documents the entire exhibition—its artworks, artist profiles, historical tributes, and the vision that brought it all together.
