The French Ambassador to Bangladesh, Marie Masdupuy, has recently held meetings with leaders of various political parties in the country, stressing the need for essential reforms ahead of the upcoming national elections.

The parties that met with the French ambassador include the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), Amar Bangladesh Party (AB Party), and Ganosamhati Andolon.

On Wednesday, March 12, the French Embassy in Dhaka announced that during the discussions, the ambassador emphasized democratic values, human rights, necessary reforms before the elections, and the importance of political dialogue in Bangladesh.

Marie Masdupuy affirmed France’s commitment to strengthening its relationship with Bangladesh and working together to promote peace, stability, and prosperity in the broader Indo-Pacific region.
