Kashfia Arfa, Bangladesh’s pioneering female racing driver, recently achieved 6th place in the Mixed-Doubles category at the 2024 Asian Auto Gymkhana Championship’s second round. Arfa, who is the first and only woman in Bangladesh to hold an FIA ASN national racing license, overcame early hurdles with a new vehicle and an unfamiliar track layout to secure this commendable position among tough competitors.
Following her performance, Arfa shared her enthusiasm on social media, stating, “Proud to be Bangladesh’s first and only female racing driver and holder of the FIA ASN national racing license! This is just the beginning! A lot more to come!” Her success not only marks a significant milestone in her career but also serves as an inspiration for young Bangladeshi women aspiring to enter the world of motorsport.
