Avril, crowned Miss World Bangladesh in 2017, faced controversy over her marital status, leading to her title being transferred to Jessia Islam. She initially made her mark in television dramas and was set to star in Saikat Nasir’s film “Cash.” Despite several projects, including a never-realized movie production due to the pandemic, Avril has stepped away from showbiz. Currently, she is based in Dubai, focusing on her business, expressing a lack of interest in returning to showbiz at the moment.
Jessia Islam: Taking a Break
Like Avril, Jessia started on TV and transitioned to cinema with her debut in the film “MR 9-Do or Die.” Despite participating in an international reality show last November, Jessia has not taken on new projects recently, indicating a temporary withdrawal from active participation in showbiz.
Nishat Nawar Salwa: Family Over Fame
Salwa, who debuted in the unreleased film “Dream Princess,” has since starred in “Booboojaan” and “Heroism.” Despite initial acceptance from her family, they no longer support her acting career, prioritizing her education in the United States over her involvement in the entertainment industry.
Rafah Nanjiba Torsa: Pursuing Other Interests
Torsa, a runner-up in a reality show in 2010, chose academics over immediate entry into showbiz. Although she received multiple offers after her success in Miss World Bangladesh, she did not pursue them due to her studies. Recently graduated, Torsa is planning a comeback, emphasizing that acting is not the only way to remain active in the entertainment industry.
