Missing Bangladeshi student Nahida Sultana Brishti has also been confirmed dead in the United States, according to information given by police to her family.

Her brother, Jahid Hasan Pranto, said police informed them of her death, although her full body has not yet been recovered. In a Facebook post on Saturday morning, he said investigators told the family that DNA from part of a body found in blood inside a residence matched Brishti’s.

The development comes a day after police in Tampa, Florida, reported recovering the body of another missing Bangladeshi student, Jamil Limon, from the Howard Frankland Bridge area.

Nahida Sultana Brishti was a former student of the Applied Chemistry and Chemical Engineering Department at Noakhali Science and Technology University in Bangladesh.

Authorities have not yet released further details about the circumstances surrounding her death.
