Dhaka, May 2025 — InterContinental Dhaka officially launched the much-anticipated “Flavourful Bangladesh” festival with a grand press conference held at the hotel, attended by leading members of the media and distinguished guests. The 10-day cultural celebration, presented in collaboration with prime partner bKash, & Cultural Partner HerNet Foundation will run from 15 to 24 May 2025.

The event commenced with an opening speech by Mr. Oliver Loreaux, General Manager of InterContinental Dhaka, who highlighted the hotel’s enduring commitment to promoting Bangladeshi culture and hospitality on a global platform. He was followed by Mr. Saadman, Director of Sales at InterContinental Dhaka, who shared details of the festival’s culinary and experiential offerings.

Representing cultural partner HerNet Fine Arts, the Chief Curator Alisha Pradhan elaborated on the rich artistic programming planned throughout the festival, including live painting sessions with master artists of Bangladesh who internationally acclaimed and a curated group exhibition featuring works from 40 of Bangladesh’s most prominent artists. The evening also saw remarks from representatives of prime partner bKash and gift partner Probashi Helicopter, both of whom expressed enthusiasm for supporting this unique cultural initiative.

The press event concluded with a captivating cultural performance that set the tone for the festival’s immersive evenings, followed by a lavish dinner showcasing some of the highlights from the festival’s expansive menu.

Flavourful Bangladesh: A Feast of Culture and Cuisine

Hosted at Elements Global Dining, “Flavourful Bangladesh” offers guests a sensory journey through the nation’s diverse heritage, featuring iconic regional dishes from all eight divisions, alongside innovative fusion creations such as Shatkora Beef Brisket and Chingri Saganaki. The hotel’s master chefs will also present an indulgent buffet of traditional sweets and pithas.

Each evening will be elevated by live cultural performances, bringing together music, dance, and artistic expression in a truly immersive atmosphere. A special highlight includes live painting sessions by renowned artists such as Monirul Islam, Farida Zaman, Mohammad Eunus, Jamal Ahmed, Dr. Mohammad Iqbal, Ahmed Samsuddoha, Sheikh Afzal, Abdus Sattar, Biren Shome, and Abdus Shakoor Shah, among others.

Art enthusiasts can explore curated exhibitions and local handicraft stalls, all orchestrated by HerNet Fine Arts and HerNet Foundation.
