BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia is set to return to Bangladesh in mid-April, as confirmed by UK BNP President MA Malek on Wednesday, March 19. He shared this information with journalists following an Iftar gathering organized by the Noakhali Nationalist Forum UK in London, held to pray for her recovery.

According to Malek, Khaleda Zia had been requested to return after Eid, and she has agreed to do so. Her medical treatment is being adjusted accordingly to align with her return schedule. However, he mentioned that flight availability could cause a slight change in the exact date, but she is prepared to come back.

Regarding the return of BNP’s acting chairman, Tarique Rahman, Malek stated that there is no confirmed timeline for his arrival. He indicated that Rahman might return a few days after Khaleda Zia but asserted that both leaders would not travel together.
