Renowned actress Kazi Naushaba Ahmed frequently participates in photoshoots during various festivals, not just Eid or Puja. She takes part in photoshoots on religious and other special occasions, each infused with contemporary messages.

This Durga Puja was no exception. The day before Vijaya Dashami, Naushaba appeared by the seaside, embodying the goddess Durga in a unique way. Last year, she portrayed Durga in the bustling urban backdrop of the capital city. This time, her photoshoot theme was “Durga by the Sea.”

Her recent photos prominently feature the sea, echoing various maritime activities in each image. The most notable aspect of this photoshoot was its attempt to inundate contemporary national and international issues with the divine form of female power. Naushaba, dressed as Durga, highlighted religious harmony, environmental issues related to sea pollution, and the nurturing, helping, and savior aspects of the goddess.

The special photoshoot and video production for this Durga Puja were orchestrated by Naushaba’s “Together We Can” and the photography agency “Momentwala.” Directed and photographed by MD Nazmul Hossain, Naushaba was styled as the goddess Durga by Imon Hossain. The music arrangement for the video was done by Ijaz Farah, with cinematography and editing by Imranuzzaman Sohag.

Executive Producer Amit Sinha. Naushaba believes, “Durga is a foundation of love and harmony. Like the sea, she is omnipresent, embracing everything.”

Social media captions of the photos by Kazi Naushaba Ahmed expressed, “Art is like the sea. No chains can hold it down, nor can it be strangled. The tidal wave of an artist’s essence will break all chains. She is not just a deity to be worshipped in temples! She is a reflection of every woman’s soul, omnipresent like the sea, embracing all, and Durga symbolizes peace and victory.”
