EBL Empowers Women Entrepreneurs by Introducing signature Credit Card

Eastern Bank Ltd (EBL) has reaffirmed its dedication to advancing women’s entrepreneurship and bolstering their economic empowerment through the launch of the exclusive EBL Women Signature Credit Card. Additionally, EBL hosted a panel discussion titled “Women in Start-up: A Journey towards Smart Bangladesh” on Monday, further solidifying its commitment.

Crafted specifically for women entrepreneurs, the VISA credit card offers an array of exclusive lifestyle benefits and includes a comprehensive Risk Assurance Program, as highlighted in an official press release.

The card launching event, which took place at EBL’s headquarters in Dhaka, featured the presence of key figures, including M Khorshed Anowar, Deputy Managing Director and Head of Retail and SME Banking; Syed Zulkar Nayen, Head of Business; Sarmin Atik, Head of Liability and Wealth Management; Tasnim Hussain, Head of Cards; Mohammad Salekeen Ibrahim, Head of Asset; and Tanzeri Hoque, Head of Priority and Women Banking.

In tandem with the card launch, EBL hosted a dynamic panel discussion centered around the theme “Women in Start-up: A Journey towards Smart Bangladesh.” The event served as an invaluable platform for sharing insights and experiences crucial for women entrepreneurs on their path to establishing successful start-ups.

Ziaul Karim, Head of Communications and External Affairs at EBL, skillfully moderated the discussion, which featured esteemed panelists from diverse sectors. Russell T Ahmed, President of BASIS; Sadia Haque, Co-founder and CEO of ShareTrip; Achia Nila, Founder and CEO of Women In Digital; and Tasnuva Shelley, CEO and Founder of Legalized Education Bangladesh Ltd, provided their perspectives on navigating the intricacies of entrepreneurship, particularly focusing on the challenges and opportunities faced by women.
