Dhaka, 18 May 2026 \u2014 Signing ceremony of the prestigious art exhibition was held on 18 May 2026 at the Embassy of the Holy See in Dhaka, bringing together leading artists, cultural figures, and international stakeholders in support of the upcoming landmark exhibition \u201cEchoes of Bengal\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The reception was attended by prominent Bangladeshi artists and cultural practitioners, including Sultan Islam, Md Ziaur Rahman, Ratnashawar Sutradhwar, Ahmed Newaz, Farida Yesmin Parveen, Jamal Ahmed, Anisuzzaman Anis, Dilruba Latif, and Vinita Karim. The exhibition at rome will also be joined by prominent artists Rokeya Sultana and Uttam Kumar Karmaker. The Country Director of Turkish Airlines in Bangladesh was also present, reflecting growing international support for the initiative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event was organized in the context of \u201cEchoes of Bengal,\u201d an ambitious international art exhibition curated by HerNet Fine Arts, an initiative of HerNet Foundation. The exhibition is scheduled to be held at Palazzo della Cancelleria in Rome, a historic 600-year-old Renaissance palace, in collaboration with the Dicastery for Culture and Education of the Vatican City.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This landmark exhibition marks a historic first: a Bangladeshi cultural organization collaborating directly with the Vatican City institutions on an international art platform. \u201cEchoes of Bengal\u201d aims to present the timeless heritage, culture, and traditions of the greater Bengal Delta and South Asia at the heart of Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition is being developed in partnership with the Embassy of the Holy See in Dhaka, the Embassy of Bangladesh in Rome, and the Permanent Mission of Bangladesh in Geneva. It is co-funded by HerNet Foundation along with the participating artists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The signing agreements with the participating artists have already been completed, marking a key milestone in the preparation phase of the project. The initiative also includes plans for cultural exchange programs, international visibility for Bangladeshi artists, and expanded global engagement with South Asian art traditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
