{"id":7337,"date":"2026-04-22T14:53:25","date_gmt":"2026-04-22T14:53:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/hernet.news\/?p=7337"},"modified":"2026-04-22T14:53:25","modified_gmt":"2026-04-22T14:53:25","slug":"fuel-supply-crisis-temporary-situation-will-normalize-within-2-3-days-bangladesh-labour-minister","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hernet.news\/?p=7337","title":{"rendered":"Fuel Supply Crisis Temporary, Situation Will Normalize Within 2\u20133 Days: Bangladesh Labour Minister"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Bangladesh Labour and Employment Minister <strong>Ariful Haque Chowdhury<\/strong> has said there is no fuel shortage in the country and that the current disruption will return to normal within the next two to three days.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He made the remarks on Wednesday at a consultation meeting in Gazipur held ahead of <strong>Eid-ul-Azha<\/strong>, where government officials, lawmakers, factory owners, and other stakeholders discussed maintaining stability in the industrial belts of <strong>Gazipur<\/strong> and <strong>Dhaka district<\/strong>, as well as ensuring the timely payment of workers\u2019 wages and festival bonuses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The minister said the government remains fully alert over the situation and stressed that employers must act responsibly to protect workers\u2019 rights during the Eid period. He also warned that any kind of disorder in the industrial zone would not be tolerated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Ariful Haque Chowdhury, Bangladesh has adjusted fuel prices in line with international market conditions, but the present difficulties are temporary and expected to ease soon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>During the meeting, factory owners urged the government to ensure uninterrupted electricity and an adequate diesel supply for generators, especially as industries prepare for increased pressure ahead of the holiday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participants in the meeting expressed a joint commitment to maintaining a peaceful environment in the industrial areas during the Eid season. The session was chaired by <strong>Gazipur Deputy Commissioner Md.
