Following an emergency meeting of its board on Sunday evening in Dhaka, the BCB also announced it will not send the national team to play fixtures in India under current conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In a statement issued after the meeting, directors said they reviewed developments over the past 24 hours, the broader security climate surrounding the India\u2013Sri Lanka co-hosted tournament, and advice from the Bangladesh government before reaching the decision. \u201cEnsuring the safety of players, coaching staff, officials and all team personnel is paramount,\u201d the board said, adding that it has already written to the ICC proposing that Bangladesh\u2019s India-based matches be moved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The BCB said it hopes for a prompt response from the ICC and stressed that its position reflects \u201cstrong doubts\u201d about the team\u2019s security in India at this time.
