Dhaka, 26 July 2025<\/em> \u2014 After a week of cultural brilliance, artistic exchange, and powerful storytelling through visuals, the landmark exhibition \u201cOrigins of Vision\u201d<\/strong> concluded with a grand Gala Closing Ceremony<\/strong> at the Embassy of Japan in Bangladesh<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hosted by the Honorable Ambassador of Japan<\/strong>, the evening was a culmination of a unique collaboration between HerNet Fine Arts<\/strong> and the Embassy of Japan<\/strong>, marking a new era of cultural diplomacy and artistic engagement between the two nations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ceremony welcomed an esteemed gathering of top-tier guests, senior artists, diplomats, cultural leaders<\/strong>, and representatives from across the art and development sectors, all of whom have followed the exhibition’s journey since its inauguration on July 18.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In her powerful closing remarks, Alisha Pradhan<\/strong>, Curator of the Exhibition and Founder & Secretary General of HerNet Foundation, reflected on the success of the past week. She spoke of the transformative power of art, the urgent need for cultural leadership, and HerNet Fine Arts\u2019 mission to globally represent Bangladeshi art with dignity and innovation. \u201cWe are not waiting for support\u2014we are creating our own space and inviting meaningful collaborations to shape the future of Bangladeshi art on the world stage,\u201d she declared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Monir Prodhan<\/strong>, Chairman of HerNet Foundation, also addressed the audience with an impassioned speech on the long-term vision of HerNet\u2019s cultural initiatives. He emphasized that HerNet\u2019s efforts\u2014from founding Bangladesh\u2019s first Digital Art Data Center<\/strong> to launching a privileged card for artists<\/strong>\u2014are steps towards building a sustainable, internationally connected cultural infrastructure. \u201cWe have done our part. Now we invite the world to walk with us,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The ceremony was further elevated by the presence of a distinguished lineup of special guests<\/strong>, including Ahmed Shamsuddoha<\/strong>, Farida Zaman<\/strong>, all of whom have long supported the development of the arts in Bangladesh. Their reflections echoed the collective sentiment that Origins of Vision<\/em> was not just an exhibition, but a cultural milestone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the evening\u2019s key highlights was the official unveiling and distribution of the Coffee Table Book<\/strong>, published by HerNet Fine Arts<\/strong>. We were honored to welcome Ms. Farida Akter<\/strong>, Government Advisor, as Chief Guest<\/strong>, alongside the Ambassadors of the Netherlands<\/strong> H.E. H\u00e5kon Arald Gulbrandsen<\/strong>, Brunei<\/strong> H.E. Haji Haris bin Othman<\/strong>, and the Honorary Consul of Uruguay<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Archbishop Kevin Stuart Randall<\/strong>, Honorable Ambassador of Vatican City, as Guest of Honor<\/strong>, alongside celebrated fashion designer and art patron Maheen Khan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day 6 also featured a serene Japanese Tea Ceremony<\/strong>, offering guests a glimpse into ancient cultural traditions alongside the ongoing exhibition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were honored to welcome a gathering of distinguished artists and H.E. Nguyen Anh Cuong<\/strong>, Honorable Ambassador of Vietnam, as Guest of Honor<\/strong>, along with a celebrated Vietnamese business entrepreneur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guests expressed heartfelt admiration for the majestic exhibition and the tribute wall<\/em>\u2014a first-ever initiative by a private organization to honor the pioneers of Bangladesh\u2019s art movement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day 3 also featured an engaging artist dialogue session<\/strong>, enriching the cultural exchange alongside the exhibition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
