Indian media today reported the arrest of a woman named Riya Barde, who is accused of being a Bangladeshi porn star residing in India under a fake Indian passport. She was detained in Ulhasnagar, a suburban area around 50 kilometers from Mumbai, by the Hill Line police. Riya Barde, who also goes by the name Aarohi Barde, has been living in India using fraudulent documents, according to reports from NDTV and the local police.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Police have stated that Riya is of Bangladeshi origin and that her parents currently reside in Qatar. Authorities believe that Riya and her family had been living in Ambernath, a town near Mumbai, under false pretenses using forged documents. The arrest followed a police investigation into the family\u2019s activities, which uncovered their involvement in fraudulent schemes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Further investigations revealed that Riya and three of her associates were aided by an individual from Amravati, Maharashtra, who helped them create fake documents to remain in India. As a result, a case has been filed under Section 14(A) of the Foreigners Act of 1946 and other relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code against Riya and four others. The police are currently searching for Riya’s mother, brother, and sister, who are reportedly missing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Additionally, it has come to light that Riya’s mother married an individual named Arvind Borde from Amravati, who is suspected of assisting in the creation of forged documents for the family. Police are continuing their search for others involved in this operation. Riya’s friend, Prashant Mishra, is said to have initially informed authorities that she was of Bangladeshi origin, leading to the investigation and subsequent arrest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
