The demonstration marks a pivotal moment in the quota reform movement, emphasizing the right to assembly despite the ongoing nationwide curfew. According to Abdul Hannan Masood, a coordinator of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement spearheading these protests, the march is a response to severe allegations of mass killings, propaganda, attacks, and unjust legal actions against students and citizens nationwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Scheduled for 12:30 PM on Wednesday, the march calls for the active participation of students and the general public to push forward their demands. These demands include a formal apology from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the resignation of six key ministers: Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, Education Minister Mohibul Hasan Chowdhoury, Law Minister Anisul Huq, State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Mohammad Ali Arafat, and State Minister for Post, Telecommunications, and Information Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The protesters’ release claims over 266 individuals have been killed and thousands injured due to law enforcement actions. Furthermore, in recent days, the government has reportedly sued over 200,000 people, and police operations have resulted in over 10,000 arrests across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
