A Pakistani woman has arrived in Chunarghat, Habiganj, in search of her Bangladeshi husband. Her name is Maha Bajwa (30), daughter of Maksud Ahmed, a resident of Lahore, Pakistan. Her husband’s name is Sajjad Hossein Majumder (35), son of Shafi Ulla Majumder, residing in North Borail area of Ward No. 2 of Chunarghat Municipality.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Maha came to Bangladesh last Friday in search of her husband and is currently staying in Chunarghat. Her arrival in the area has sparked curiosity among the local people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is known that Maha met Sajjad in Dubai 10 years ago and later they got married. However, at one stage, Sajjad divorced Maha, which she has not accepted. She insists on living with her husband, claiming that the divorce is fake. Since Maha\u2019s arrival in Chunarghat, her husband Sajjad has been untraceable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sajjad’s brother, Swapon Majumder, said that Sajjad used to work at a nightclub in Dubai, where he met Maha. Their marriage eventually faced difficulties. He mentioned that Sajjad is not currently at home but will resolve the matter with the local respected individuals when he returns. He also informed that the Pakistani woman is currently under their hospitality. The Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Chunarghat Police Station, Rashedul Haque, stated that Maha came to Bangladesh on a visa but did not follow the necessary regulations for staying in the country.
