The exhibition, &#8220;Enchanting Fabrics Uniting Cultures,&#8221; which took place on October 6 in Doha at the Qatar Foundation, featured contemporary designs of fabrics from Bangladesh. The event was organized by The Embassy of Bangladesh, Doha, Ananna &#8211; Association of Bangladeshi Women in Qatar, and in partnership with Council Of Modest Fashion, Futad, and Richmond. The show&#8217;s producer was Bangladeshi designer Niharika Momtaz, who lives and works in Dubai.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Celebrates the deeply ingrained traditions of Bangladesh via patterns, materials, and colors. Momtaz added, &#8220;I attempted to emphasize the natural beauty of handwoven handicraft and raw materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Niharika Momtaz, the evening&#8217;s creative force, is recognized as a visionary artist who perfectly blends culture and fashion. She has left an unmistakable mark in art and design, from Dhaka&#8217;s vivid vitality to Dubai&#8217;s haute couture scene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When Niharika started designing clothes at age 18, she did so out of a great respect for her Bangladeshi background. She entered the fashion NFT industry, founded Bangladesh Art Week and the Heritage Bangladesh Foundation, and has displayed her collections across the globe. Gamcha, Jamdani, Banarasi Katan, and Organza, four of her legacy textile collections, combine modern beauty with historical depth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The &#8220;Tales Of Thread&#8221; collection introduces woven art on traditional cotton towels (Gamcha). &#8220;Madhobilata&#8221; tells the story of Jamdani, highlighting its cultural legacy. &#8220;Prerona&#8221; features traditional handwoven Banarasi Katan silk saris.
